Overview of the Role: As the Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in the firm's day-to-day financial operations. You'll support key accounting functions, including transaction processing, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate records-contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department. Key Responsibilities for Accounting Assistant Role: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records Assist in preparing financial reports and statements The Accounting Assistant will perform data entry and maintain accounting databases Support month-end and year-end closing procedures Respond to general accounting inquiries and assist the accounting team as needed Preferred Qualifications for Accounting Assistant Role: Previous experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
