On-site Our client, a well-respected local CPA firm, is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support payroll and tax operations across a variety of client accounts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work in a professional environment that values work/life balance. Key Responsibilities as the Accounting Specialist: Process weekly multi-state payroll for multiple clients, including benefits, deductions, and adjustments The Accounting Specialist will prepare and file payroll tax forms such as W-2s, 941s, and local filings Assemble and organize completed tax return packages for client delivery The Accounting Specialist will maintain accurate financial records and ensure payroll compliance across client accounts Support general bookkeeping and data entry as needed What We're Looking For In An Accounting Specialist: Previous payroll experience strongly preferred Experience with QuickBooks is a plus Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines No degree required-relevant accounting experience is what counts Why You'll Love It: More work/life balance than most CPA firms Business casual office environment Half-day Fridays during the off-season
