Job Description:

Practice Manager Description: Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of Central PA, LLP, located in Altoona, Pennsylvania is seeking a Practice Manager. The Practice Manager is responsible for ENT Associates of Central PA, PC (ENTCPA) operational management. Accountable for optimizing practice cash flow and profitability. Manages the integration of strategic, operational (clinical) and financial planning to improve patient outcomes and organizational efficiency. Directs the development of new services & acquisition of equipment and technology that advance ENTCPA's core business. Responsible for regulatory compliance and management of quality assurance and legal activities. RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Management - Provide executive leadership and management direction of ENTCPA business functions -- Establish core management systems to improve operating efficiency, asset productivity, and co-worker competencies and job satisfaction. -- Review of operating systems to achieve improved cash flow, cost and quality outcomes. -- Organize and facilitate Partnership meetings and prepare decision support requirements. -- Oversee the selection, administration and maintenance of practice management information systems. -- Perform employee performance assessment and direct staff development Financial Management - Direct all financial management activities including financial planning (budgeting), performance reporting, pension-fund investment management, accounting and benefits administration. -- Manages business activities consistent with established operating guidelines, policies and procedures -- Administer and perform core accounting and payroll functions -- Prepare monthly ENTCPA financial statements. Prepare Quarterly statistical reports. Establish and monitor internal financial controls and report deficiencies and corrective actions to the Partners. -- Perform financial reporting requirements for external agencies including banking institutions; government taxing authorities; regulatory entities and auditors. -- Develop required budgeting tools and prepare financial planning documents for Partner approval -- Oversee Treasury functions including patient accounting activities New Business Development - Lead long range and annual business planning process and facilitate the preparation of financial/strategic plans -- Analyze market and financial data and recommend program development decision and funding requirements to Partners -- Coordinate with ENTCPA advisors, financing and organizational plans for new programs. Manage financing activities to support business development funding requirements. -- Negotiate business arrangements required to expand or establish ENTCPA programs and services. -- Direct strategic physician development activities including recruitment, affiliations, mergers and acquisitions. -- Improve access to managed care contracts and risk payment arrangements Marketing and Communications - Oversee the design and implementation of marketing and sales strategies to support ENTCPA programs -- Oversee the development and consistent application ENTCPA Graphic standards. -- Coordinate business and government-relations efforts, which support revenue development and community goodwill. -- The CEO shall be the primary contact for inquiries made by government agencies, attorneys and consumer advocate groups Compliance and Legal Services -Responsible for federal & state regulatory compliance including the administration of established planning, monitoring and reporting processes -- Manage the selection and retention of legal counsel and coordinate litigation activities. -- Negotiate and administer 3rd party service and product vendor agreements -- Oversee the credentialing, licensure and certification of physician and support staff to assure compliance with provider agreements, professional organizations and affiliated healthcare institutions Quality Management -Implement quality management and reporting systems consistent with the Organization's Quality Goals -- Establish internal and external benchmarking standards to assure consistent clinical and financial performance with comparable Physician Group Practices. Risk Management - Coordinate company risk management activities including professional and business liability insurance relationships -- Responsible for the organization of legal documents and maintaining timely correspondence and distribution of information as required by ENTCPA legal counsel -- Directs company compliance with all employment and risk management related regulatory requirements Human Resource- Responsibilities include development and oversight of HR policies and procedures, development of job descriptions, employment recruitment process, payroll and benefits administration, and employee training and professional development -- State & federal regulatory & safety requirements including OSHA -- Organizational planning & development -- HR policy development -- Employment law -- Job descriptions & employee file management -- Employee performance evaluation & management -- Employee recruitment & compensation/benefits -- Employee training & professional development This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
