Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A licensed Visually
Impaired Teacher is needed for an onsite, itinerant role serving a
K-12 caseload within a school setting in Washington, PA. This
contract position offers an opportunity to provide specialized
educational services to students with visual impairments, helping
them achieve their academic and developmental goals. Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver direct instructional services to
students with visual impairments across grades K-12. - Assess
students visual needs and develop Individualized Education Programs
(IEPs). - Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and
families to support student learning and accessibility. - Provide
training and resources to staff regarding visual impairment
strategies and accommodations. - Travel between multiple school
sites to meet the itinerant service model requirements. - Maintain
documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational
standards. Qualifications: - Current state licensure as a Teacher
of the Visually Impaired. - Experience working with students who
have varying degrees of visual impairment in a school setting. -
Strong knowledge of assistive technology and educational tools for
visually impaired learners. - Ability to work independently and
manage a diverse caseload across multiple locations. - Excellent
communication and collaboration skills. Location: Washington,
Pennsylvania onsite work with travel between school sites as
