Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace Inc. in Johnstown, PA is seeking to fill the position of Cable Assembler I. The Cable Assembler I will support the effort of our production goals by performing assembly operations to Remote Weapon Stations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Electro-Mechanical assembly operations using basic hand tools and test equipment following step by step work instructions. Troubleshoot electrical problems using wiring schematics, deficiencies and concerns in supplied and internally manufactured materials. Document deficiencies in database. Report progress and discrepancies to Cables Lead. Support and participate in training and cross-training. EDUCATION: High School Diploma/general education degree (GED) required. EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience assembling equipment in a production manufacturing environment. OTHER POSITION CONSIDERATIONS: J-STD-001 Certification (soldering) and IPC-620 Technician Certification preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team are necessary. Previous auto mechanic experience is a plus!
