Job Description Job Description Job Summary Coordinate with
Latrobe Operations teams to identify opportunities for improvements
and steer projects to drive improvements and cost savings. Work
closely with the production floor and managers of those areas to
facilitate progress on the improvement projects. Will also be
responsible to track performance and provide weekly, bi-weekly or
monthly updates on the progress of projects. Responsibility &
Authority Technimark establishes the interrelation of all personnel
who manage, perform, and verify work affecting quality via
Technimark’s Organization Chart and specific procedures while
ensuring the independence and authority necessary to perform these
tasks. Technimark’s Organization Chart is reviewed annually for
adequacy. Independence and authority are established in the Control
of Nonconforming product procedure. Essential Duties &
Responsibilities 1. Develop contacts at the Latrobe plant who
oversee/participate in continuous improvement and cost savings
(CI/CS) activities. 2. Identify opportunities/projects for
improvement. 3. Develop baselines to track progress and savings. 4.
Develop projects (Kaizen/Six-Sigma) to drive improvements in areas
of need. 5. Coordinate with Latrobe Leadership to validate projects
savings, project classifications, progress to targets and
methodologies utilized. 6. Document all LSS/CI projects and
populate to CI Library on TM Sharepoint. 7. Work closely with
department teams to make sure we are focusing attention in the most
needed areas. 8. Coordinate with department teams to verify proper
“tools” are being used to complete CI/CS projects. 9. Lead efforts
to coach production supervisors, manufacturing managers and all
leadership in LSS/Lean/CI methodologies. 10. Develop methods of
tracking and reporting the progress of all CI/CS projects on
specified frequency to verify that savings goals will be met or
exceeded. 11. Coordinate with Finance Team to validate that all
Cost Savings initiatives can be tracked through to P&L benefit.
12. Document areas of improvement to standardize those processes
for future use and reference. 13. Coordinate with both internal and
external resources to get machinery back up to standard when
needed. Competencies • Manufacturing Safety • Standard Method of
Work • College Degree or Equivalent Experience • Continuous
Improvement and 6-Sigma Experience
