organization, to hire a Field Service Technician. This position is
based out of the Pittsburgh area and supports customers across
various locations. The role is ideal for a technically skilled
professional who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and travel.
Job Description: Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician
to provide installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance support
for specialized industrial equipment. This individual will serve as
a technical resource for customers, ensuring machinery operates
efficiently and issues are resolved quickly. When not traveling,
the technician may assist with equipment assembly and internal
projects at the local facility. Qualifications: Associate degree or
technical training in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
preferred; or 3 years of relevant field service or industrial
maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting mechanical,
electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Working knowledge of
control systems; PLC experience is a plus Proficient in using
precision measuring and diagnostic tools (e.g., micrometers,
calipers, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes) Ability to interpret
blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics Strong
written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage travel
demands (up to 80%) Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and perform
on-site service visits including equipment installation,
diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance Respond promptly to
customer technical questions and service requests Identify root
causes of equipment malfunctions and implement corrective solutions
Determine required materials or replacement parts and facilitate
ordering as needed Document all service activities, parts usage,
and expenses accurately Maintain detailed records of service calls
and updates within the company tracking system Communicate customer
feedback, technical concerns, and potential sales opportunities to
internal departments Follow up with customers regarding replacement
parts or tooling needs Support internal machine assembly efforts
