This and other physician jobs brought to you by DocCafe.com **Breast Imaging Radiology opening: Altoona, Pennsylvania** Located 100 miles from Pittsburgh, PA J1 and H1 Visa Eligible **About the Opportunity:** - Full-Time, permanent - Seeking BC/BE Breast Imaging Radiologist to step into busy, fully established, practice. Competitive Compensation Package, Comprehensive Benefits Package includes health, dental, vision insurance; pension, generous CME allowance. - Hospital employed position - Single specialty group - Monday-Friday with equal rotations on afternoons and weekends - No mammography call - General radiology back-up call: 1:11, however, there is 24-7 Teleradiology backup. Radiologist only need to provide after hours coverage in the event of PACS downtime which is extremely rare. **Practice Structure** - Group is comprised of 8 Neuroradiology/MSK/Body imaging, 2 Mammographers (each part-time); 4 interventional radiologists and 2 nuclear medicine/PET radiologists. - Comprised of a total of 16 Radiologists: 11 full-time and 5 part-time. 8 Neuroradiology/MSK/Body Imaging; 2 Mammographers (each part-time), 4 interventional radiologists, and 2 nuclear medicine/PET radiologists. - The Group provides 200,000+ reads per year. - Recruitment is underway due to pending retirements and practice growth. **Compensation** - Base salary $325,000 - Bonus Range - $75,000-$275,000 - Total compensation : $400,000-$600,000 **Benefits** - Malpractice - Health insurance - Vision/Dental - Life Insurance - Disability - Minimum 8 weeks PTO/CME, Maximum 14 weeks PTO/CME - CME/business expenses $7500 **Hospital Details** - 400 bed, regional healthcare provider serving a 6 county area in Central PA - PA Trauma Systems Foundation accredited lvl II trauma center, a regional cardiology/cardiothoracic surgery center, and a regional cancer center. - Provides vascular and endovascular surgery, neurosurgery, behavioral health, vascular & wound care, and is a JCAHO-Accredited Stroke Center **About the Group** - Medical Staff = 400+ practicing physicians, including 80+ primary care physicians (FP and General IM), interventional cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, nephrology, neurology, medical and radiation oncology, physiatry, and endocrinology. - Also includes are a 23-physician hospitalist team, a full-service intensivist staff, and a team of interventional radiologists. **Location** The Altoona/Blair County/Central Pennsylvania region is a family-oriented community with excellent school systems, abundant cultural amenities, easy access to larger, neighboring cities, and unlimited outdoor and recreational opportunities. - Altoona Country metro population: 126,000 - Hospital service area population: 330,000 - Trauma service area population: 1,000,000: 20 County **Nearest Major Cities** - Pittsburgh: 2 hours - Baltimore: 3 hours - Washington, DC: 3 hours - Philadelphia: 4 hours - New York City: 5 hours **Colleges** - Penn State University - Penn State Altoona - local Penn State 4 year degree campus - St. Francis University - Mt.
