Bed Flow Coordinator: The Bed Flow Coordinator is responsible for proactively coordinating the activities of admission, discharge, and transfer of patients thereby supporting throughout in the facility.
Provides direction to department leaders to ensure safe levels of staffing while maintaining an efficient hospital throughout and serves as a resource for all staff and can apply competent knowledge and skills to achieve quality outcomes. Administrator On-Duty: Accountable for proactively coordinating the activities of admission, discharge, and transfer of patients thereby supporting throughput in the facility.
Provides direction to department leaders to ensure safe levels of staffing while maintaining efficient hospital throughput.
Serves as a resource for all staff and can apply competent knowledge and skills to achieve quality outcomes.
Provides an interim leadership including but not limited to crisis management intervention as a representative of hospital administration. Channels pertinent patient/employee/department information to appropriate internal and external sources. Clinician: The Clinician is a nurse leader who has direct responsibility in the achievement of a culture of excellence and patient care.
A developed role model of professional nursing practice.
Under the general direction of the Unit Director or other department manager, the Clinician will complete and deliver employee evaluations, conduct the selection and hiring of staff, and manage the daily performance of a group of direct reports.
Responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise for staff including orientation and training, consultation on practice issues, and general coordination of clinical activities. Additionally, the Clinician may have shift accountability for delivering nursing care when needed. Unit Director: The Unit Director is responsible for collaborating with medical staff to monitor patient outcomes and setting clinical quality priorities, supporting shared governance through a unit-based professional practice council, using staff feedback to implement professional and patient safety improvements, and developing a best practice climate for the growth and development of students as well as all unit employees.
The Unit Director has responsibility for the oversight of the selection and hiring of staff, department orientation, and fostering a culture of continuous performance management. This includes completing and delivering employee evaluations, managing daily unit and employee performance, as well as the department budget. Qualifications Bed Flow Coordinator: BSN Preferred
3 years of progressive leadership with relevant clinical experience preferred
Registered Nurse
Department specific requirements Administrator On-Duty: BS/BSN Required - If BS degree is not in nursing, a master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.
CNL/MSN Preferred
3 years of progressive leadership with relevant clinical experience preferred
Registered Nurse
Act 34
CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
ACLS
Department specific requirements Clinician: 3 years of nursing experience required
Master's degree preferred
BS/BSN required - If BS degree is not in nursing, a master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.

Department specific requirements Unit Director: BS/BSN required at time of hire and master's degree/MSN required.
If a BS degree is not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required. If a Master's degree is not in nursing, a BSN is required. If the Master's degree/MSN is not present at the time of hire, must be enrolled in a Masters's or MSN program within one year of hire/transfer date and completed within three years of enrollment.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience required with relevant clinical experience preferred.
