Regional health care provider serving a six-county area in central Pennsylvania is seeking a board certified, fellowship trained medical oncologist/hematologist to step into a fully established and growing practice with a high-volume patient base. This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday Friday with 1:5 call. Position is employed through a multi-specialty physician group of over 100 physicians and 75 APPs. Cancer Center is a growing program in a world renowned Cancer Center system. The spacious center on the campus of hospital is dedicated to the latest in personalized medical and radiation oncology treatments and clinical trials. The team is comprised of experienced medical oncologists/hematologists, nurse practitioner, oncology nurses and support staff. This busy practice includes outpatient and inpatient medical consults, chemotherapy, lab, and supportive therapy visits. Competitive compensation and benefits package includes a base salary and wRVU bonus, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, annual CME stipend, paid vacation, health/dental/vision and life insurance, retirement benefits and malpractice insurance. Group is a multi-specialty physician group that employs over 100 physicians and 65 advance practice providers (APPs) in cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, ENT, family practice, internal medicine, medical oncology, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, pulmonology, radiology and urology. About the Hospital 400-bed regional health care system provides care to nearly 350,000 residents in central Pennsylvania. UPMC Altoona is a level II trauma center, regional oncology center, and a Joint Commission certified stroke center. The hospital provides comprehensive cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, vascular and endovascular surgery, behavioral health, vascular and wound care.
