Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in State College, Pennsylvania.

Endoscopy Nurse, Perioperative 2 years experience required

1) Assesses and responds to the individual physical, psychosocial, anq spiritual needs of the patient through personal observation and interaction. 2) Utilizes professional nursing skills and judgment; takes action to implement nursing care and treat the problems identified.
3) Communicates patient assessments to the appropriate individuals ensuring the coordination of patient care.
4) Demonstrates knowledge of diagnostic measures such as labs, radiology, EKG. Demonstrates skills, in IV therapy.
5) Transcribes and implements physicians' orders in an accurate and timely manner while admitting patient to the surgical center efficiently.
6) Documents in the patient clinical records via computer with accuracy and in a timely manner. Completes final review of patient record to ensure all paperwork and activities such as site marking is complete and that anesthesiologist has spoken to the patient and family.
8) Decrements supplies according to policy. Utilizes supplies, equipment, and resources to contain costs without compromising patient care.
9) Assists with housekeeping duties such as cleaning and making beds as needed for patients.
1 0)WUses knowledge and critical thinking to assess and give appropriate nursing care. maintains airway, monitors VS, utilizes correct medication to control pain, and consults with surgeon and anesthesiologist if any difficulties arise that affects the patient. 12)When functioning as a float nurse, maintains communications between all areas and is available to assist staff as needed to maintain flow; relieves staff for breaks and lunch in a timely manner and utilizes staff in a cost effective manner.
