Health to find a qualified OR RN in State College, Pennsylvania,
16803! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Ambulatory Care Unit Duration: 18 months Shift: Day shift Hours per
Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Licensed as a
Registered Nurse Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS),
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life
Support (PALS) Must-Have: Completion of an accredited registered
nurse program required. Proof of successful completion of EKG
course preferred. Description: Provides professional nursing care
based on current ambulatory care standards. Focuses on
pre-operative and post-operative care during the transfer of
patient care. Utilizes the nursing process to provide care for a
wide range of outpatient services. Includes care for medical and
oncology patients, procedure patients, and surgical patients.
Assesses patient needs and develops a plan to meet those needs.
Implements nursing interventions and evaluates the effectiveness of
care. Aims for optimal patient outcomes upon discharge for all age
populations. Understanding of ambulatory care and perioperative
nursing standards is required. Ability to recognize cardiac
arrhythmias and respond to life-threatening emergencies is
essential. Utilizes critical thinking skills to provide safe
patient care in a fast-paced environment. Effectively functions as
a team member and liaison between patients and staff. Supports
harmonious communication and possesses strong verbal, non-verbal,
and written skills. Communicates in a highly professional manner at
all times. Demonstrates mental and emotional tolerance when dealing
with patients and families. Uses tact, sensitivity, and sound
