Position The Speech Therapist delivers in-home speech therapy
services to both pediatric and adult clients experiencing
neurological communication disorders. This role adheres to
physician directives and requires meticulous documentation.
Candidates must possess a master's degree in Speech-Language
Pathology, hold a valid state license or be eligible for one, and
demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The
position necessitates travel to client residences and collaboration
with healthcare teams, with a primary focus on enhancing clients'
communication and swallowing skills. Join our dynamic team as a
Speech Therapist! This is a PRN position, and experience with
pediatric clients is essential. Our organization is part of a
national service network that provides housing and healthcare
support. Compensation: $45.90 - $51.20 per hour, depending on
experience! Work Schedule: PRN, requiring travel to clients' homes.
The Speech Therapist will deliver timely therapy to clients as per
physician orders and will communicate progress within the agency.
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating clients, liaising
with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, and
maintaining accurate documentation of services provided.
Qualifications: A master’s degree in Speech Pathology, with a
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or equivalent experience
of at least one year working with adults and children with
neurological disorders affecting language comprehension,
expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and
swallowing. The candidate should be capable of functioning
independently within the department. A valid Speech Pathology
license in the relevant state or actively pursuing the necessary
supervisory experience for licensure. Registration with the
Department of Health or eligibility for registration. Membership in
the Speech-Language-Hearing Association is preferred. Ability to
integrate and synthesize large volumes of information, including
in-service training, evaluations, and therapy tasks. Strong written
and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and
interpret professional evaluation materials to stay informed in the
field, prepare in-services, administer tests, and make clinical
decisions. Capability to independently analyze and resolve issues
related to clients and self. Ability to manage stress from a
caseload that may include frustrated clients. Strong organizational
skills to follow complex directions and manage schedules
effectively. Basic math skills. Interest in geriatric
rehabilitation. Proficiency in using personal computers, Servox
devices, and augmentative communication tools. Key
Responsibilities: Assess and create tailored treatment plans aimed
at restoring or enhancing communication efficiency for clients.
Conduct evaluations and develop effective treatment plans based on
physician requests, securing approval for services. Initiate
prescribed treatments and keep the physician informed about the
client's progress. Document evaluations, weekly progress notes,
discharge summaries, and other relevant information in accordance
with agency policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure proper
record-keeping in compliance with state, federal, and third-party
payer regulations. Collaborate with team members regarding client
progress, challenges, and future plans. Engage in rehabilitation
conferences at regular intervals. Participate in client care
planning meetings. Provide education to clients, families, and
staff as necessary. Contribute to in-service training programs for
agency staff as requested. Adhere to the Speech-Language Pathology
Practice Act in the state. Perform additional duties or special
assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services. At

Preferred Experience: 1 year of experience working with adults and
children with neurological disorders affecting language
comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency,
and swallowing. Required Education: Master's degree or higher in
Speech-Language Pathology or a related field. Licenses &
