Job Description Job Description Critical Care Intensivist - Physician Overview: We are seeking a Critical Care Intensivist Physician to join our team, providing thorough pre- and post-surgical critical care within a multidisciplinary ICU environment. This role involves managing acute and life-threatening conditions, executing essential ICU procedures, collaborating with various healthcare professionals, and engaging in educational and research initiatives. Candidates must possess board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine and hold a valid Pennsylvania medical license. Our organization is looking for a Critical Care Physician to serve at a facility in the Pittsburgh area. We are particularly focused on pre- and post-surgical critical care, including Surgical Oncology, Acute Care Surgery, Bariatrics, as well as obstetrical and gynecological critical care, cardiology, and burn care. We encourage both experienced physicians and those newer to the field to apply, as we provide opportunities for skill development alongside seasoned mentors, advanced practice providers, and resident physicians. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate exceptional clinical abilities. Participate in educational and teaching activities; research opportunities are available for those interested. Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborating within a diverse team. Work full-time, completing 13 shifts monthly, which will include both day and night shifts. Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various acute and life-threatening conditions, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Perform essential ICU procedures such as central line placements, endotracheal intubations, mechanical ventilation management, and arterial line placements. Qualifications Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesiology, or a related field. Fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine. Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or eligibility for certification.
