Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts; 1845-0715, every other
weekend Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous
RN experience required License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in
the State of Pennsylvania Certifications: Meets the American Heart
Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support
(BLS) and renews BLS every two years Must-Have: Preference will be
given to those with EPIC patient charting experience Description:
Responsible to the Unit Director/Manager for the overall nursing
practice of the unit during the assigned shift. In the absence of
the Unit Director/Manager, the RN is responsible to the Clinical
Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator of the shift.
Provides professional nursing care based on current nursing
knowledge through the use of the nursing process. This includes the
responsibility for assessing the patient's needs, developing the
plan of care to meet those needs, implementing nursing measures,
and evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing care and other
treatment measures. Effectively functions as a team member and as a
liaison between patients and staff. Supports and encourages
harmonious communication skills. Job requires strong verbal,
non-verbal, and written communication skills. Communicates in a
highly professional manner at all times. Demonstrates a high level
of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing
with ill individuals. Uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a
professional attitude when relating to patients, families, and
