Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg Ortho, Med-Surg Adult Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania Certifications: Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years Must-Have: Preference will be given to those with EPIC patient charting experience. Demonstrates effective functioning as a team member and acts as a liaison between patients and staff. Supports and encourages harmonious communication skills. Job requires strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills. Communicates in a highly professional manner at all times. Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance when dealing with patients. Uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers. Description: Responsible to the Unit Director/Manager for the overall nursing practice during the assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, responsible to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator of the shift. Provides professional nursing care based on current nursing knowledge through the use of the nursing process.
