Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Bridgeport, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,272 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Bridgeport, West Virginia, 26330! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be able to titrate drips Description: Unit notes include a 29-bed cardiopulmonary stepdown unit. Nurse-patient ratios are 1:5-6. Common diagnoses include cardiac patients, post-catheterization, acute myocardial infarction, post-operative lung surgeries, respiratory failure, and patients with chest tubes or pacemakers. Traveling nurses must be able to titrate drips including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, and Cardiac gtts such as Amiodarone, Dobutamine, and Dopamine. A charge nurse is available 24/7; they do not take patient assignments during the day but do take patients at night. Certified nursing assistants (CNA) are present, ideally with a ratio of 1 CNA for every 12 patients, with staffing of three CNAs during the day and two at night. Respiratory therapy equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP is available; respiratory therapists manage these. Phillips telemetry monitors are utilized, and RNs are required to read and interpret strips. Shifts are scheduled as 12 hours, with an expectation of working every-other-weekend on both days. Travelers will be integrated into the holiday rotation with permanent staff. Staff may be required to float to different units. Scrub colors for RNs are royal blue.
