achievement possible! We are currently seeking a Director of
Surgical Services! East Liverpool City Hospital, an award-winning
community facility, has been serving the tristate area since 1905.
With 152 licensed beds and a workforce of over 500 employees, the
hospital sees approximately 31,000 visits to the Emergency
Department each year. Our medical team includes more than 160
physicians, along with 21 resident physicians in training for
Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. We offer 24/7 emergency
services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance
abuse, and behavioral health services for adults over 55.
Additionally, we proudly host the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation
program in Columbiana County. Responsibilities: The Director of
Surgical Services will oversee patient care within the surgical
environment. This role involves managing staff in the Ambulatory
Surgery, Surgery, and PACU Departments. The Director will
collaborate with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on
nursing matters and the interpretation of hospital policies to
ensure that patient needs are effectively addressed.
Responsibilities also include maintaining performance improvement
initiatives within the department and participating in budget
formulation and performance improvement activities. Qualifications:
Possession of a current and valid state license as a Registered
Nurse. Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and ongoing
maintenance. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA)
certification upon hire and ongoing maintenance. A minimum of two
years of supervisory or management experience is required. At least
two years of experience in Surgical Nursing. Current Certified
Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) (AORN) certification upon hire is
preferred. A Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory
for all new hires after January 11, 2021. Facility Specific:
Current PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and ongoing maintenance.
