Orthopaedic Surgeon Job Details Location: Johnstown, PA 15905 (Pennsylvania healthcare jobs) Facility: Level 1 Trauma Center Assignment Dates: February 27, 2026 – March 8, 2026 Employment Type: Locum tenens orthopaedic surgeon (travel contract) Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts Estimated Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,350 – $7,520 Lodging: Hospital-arranged accommodations included Nearest Airports: Latrobe, PA or Pittsburgh, PA Orthopaedic Surgeon Qualifications Active Pennsylvania medical license (MD or DO) Board Certified or Board Eligible with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency Recent experience: 100 general orthopaedic procedures in the past 12 months OR completion of residency/fellowship within the past 12 months Required skills: Arthroscopy, total joint replacement (knee required, hip preferred), joint revision/repair (shoulder, hip, knee required), tendon release/repair, peripheral nerve surgery Preferred skills: Hand surgery, instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), percutaneous disc surgery Minimum 1 year of experience in orthopaedic surgery Orthopaedic Surgeon Responsibilities Provide call coverage for general orthopaedic surgery at a Level 1 Trauma Center Perform a wide range of orthopaedic procedures including arthroscopy, joint replacements, revisions, tendon and nerve repairs Respond to trauma cases and urgent orthopaedic consults Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters Why Choose Johnstown, PA?
