Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Bridgeport, WV Agency: Ventura MedStaff Pay: $2,054 to $2,254 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Travel Telemetry float RN is needed in a hospital in West Virginia for 13 weeks. Current unencumbered licensure with the WV or compact license is required. ACLS and BLS are required. 2 years of experience is required. Shifts consist of 12 hour nights, with every other weekend. 36 or 48 hours per week. These are very basic Telemetry patients here. They work with CHF, Cardiac Cath, chest pain, Pneumonia, Chronic renal disease, COPD, Ortho, and Oncology Patients. The Oncology RN's at the hospital will give the nurses their Chemo treatments. The RN's could be expected to float between the 7 different Telemetry units. They might also float to Critical Care but only if they have that experience. They will only see patients that are in their scope of practice. Bed sizes of the units are as follows: OPO (20 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6N (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), Critical Care (20 beds). MOST FREQUENT unit they will be on or assigned to will be 6N & 7N. PCU Nurse to patient ratio 1:4 and MedSurg/Telemetry Nurse to Patient ratio are 1:5-6 depending on acuity of the patient. They have (2 what they call Pairs Units) meaning they have a PCA - (Patient Care Assistant). They use the Kronos System here to clock in and out. They use the Kronos System here to clock in and out.
