Physical Therapist in a PRN capacity! Pediatric experience is
essential for this role. Our organization is part of a national

to serving communities effectively. Compensation: $54.52 - $58.42
per hour, depending on experience. Work Schedule: This position is
PRN and involves travel to clients' residences. The Physical
Therapist will be responsible for conducting therapy evaluations,
providing treatments, and educating clients promptly according to
physician directives. This role includes overseeing and guiding
other physical therapy professionals, assistants, and aides. The
Physical Therapist will assess and treat clients, liaise with
families, physicians, and other healthcare team members, and ensure
proper documentation in compliance with state and federal
regulations. Participation in ongoing agency meetings and
conducting training sessions for staff is also expected.
Qualifications: Graduation from a physical therapy program
accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association and current
licensure as a Physical Therapist in the practicing state. Ability
to comprehend medical terminology relevant to physical therapy and
effectively communicate with residents, staff, and physicians while
preparing comprehensive reports. Spatial awareness and form
perception are necessary for visualizing anatomical structures and
their relation to therapeutic devices. Coordination and dexterity
are essential for client treatment and handling therapeutic
equipment. Strong communication skills to foster a positive rapport
with clients and motivate them in their rehabilitation journey.
Physical strength and endurance to assist clients and manage
equipment effectively. Willingness to work weekends and holidays on
a rotational basis as needed. Flexibility to travel and work at
other facilities as required. If driving a company vehicle,
candidates must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and meet the
organization's motor vehicle record standards. Ability to meet
productivity standards as outlined by the supervisor. Proficiency
in using computers and electronic devices for tasks such as
timekeeping, documentation, and training. Essential Functions:
Conduct thorough screenings and evaluations of clients, providing
physical therapy within twenty-four (24) hours of a physician's
referral. Assess each client and initiate prescribed treatments.
Maintain communication with relevant agencies for therapy
authorization. Report client progress to the attending physician.
Consult with physicians regarding any changes in clients'
conditions during treatment. Reassess clients in collaboration with
the attending physician. Oversee the performance of physical
therapy services to ensure quality from assistants and support
staff. Prepare and maintain treatment records, including:
Physician’s orders. Treatment objectives. Care plans. Details of
treatment procedures and baseline clinical data. Progress
evaluations and client responses to treatment. Any other relevant
information as per agency policies. Supervise physical therapy
assistants and aides in client care activities, ensuring compliance
with state and federal regulations, and co-sign documentation as
required. Engage in client care planning meetings and initial
conferences for residents undergoing physical therapy, as requested
by nursing or therapy departments. Participate in agency meetings
as directed by the Director of Clinical Services. Communicate with
the Director of Clinical Services and other healthcare team members
regarding client progress and care plans. Collaborate with the
Director of Clinical Services on departmental objectives aligned
with overall agency goals. Maintain productivity standards as
directed by the supervisor. Assist therapy assistants in achieving
productivity goals. Ensure accurate documentation and billing
through computer systems. Support personnel functions within the
Physical Therapy Department alongside the Director of Clinical
Services: Develop and maintain work routines and staffing
schedules. Initiate and lead in-service training programs for the
department. Educate clients, family members, and other healthcare
personnel on appropriate physical therapy procedures and supportive
activities. Instruct all employees on correct body mechanics as
scheduled by the Staff Development Coordinator. Ensure continuous
provision of physical therapy services, including finding temporary
support personnel when regular staff are unavailable. Attend
mandatory in-service training and complete assigned online modules.
Adhere to the Physical Therapy Practice Act in the state. Perform
additional duties or special assignments as directed by the
