Job Description NEW Sign-On Bonus available! $6,000 with a 2-year commitment (eligibility terms apply) \n Shift: typically, daylight 8–10 hour shifts with 3-11 rotation every 6 weeks \n Casual status available \n As a Sonographer, you will: \n \n Perform Imaging Procedures : Conduct ultrasound procedures independently, using your judgment and initiative. \n Assist with Invasive Procedures : Support physicians during invasive procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards. \n Manage Exam Documentation : Ensure exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered. \n High-Level Disinfection : Handle disinfection of devices, supplies, and equipment as needed. \n Communicate Effectively : Clearly explain procedures to patients, easing their fears and gaining their cooperation. \n Patient Identification : Use two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol for accurate patient identification. \n Review and Document Patient History : Assess physician orders, apply departmental protocols, and document patient history in electronic records. \n Interact with Care Team : Collaborate with patients and co-workers, demonstrating care, respect, and teamwork. \n Optimize Imaging Techniques : Utilize ultrasound instrumentation effectively to obtain high-quality images and data. \n \n You will be placed in the a ppropriate job tile and compensation based on your experience and background Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required. RDMS registered or registry eligible preferred. Completion of Physics portion of registry preferred.
