Job Title RN - PeriOp - Outpatient Surg Ctr - Days City/State: State College, Pennsylvania Shift: 8 hr shifts; 0615-1445 Mon-Fri; no weekends, holidays or call Contract Length: 8 Hour Days Start Date: 03/23/2026 Job Description: This position involves utilizing professional nursing skills and judgment to assess and respond to the needs of patients in an outpatient surgical center, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated patient care. Responsibilities: Assesses and responds to the individual physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients through observation and interaction. Communicates patient assessments to appropriate individuals to ensure coordination of care. Transcribes and implements physicians' orders accurately and efficiently while admitting patients to the surgical center. Provides instruction and education to patients and their families. Assists with housekeeping duties such as cleaning and making beds as needed for patients. Utilizes knowledge and critical thinking to assess and provide appropriate nursing care in the PACU.
