Radiology Tech Location: State College, PA Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,662 to $1,856 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title Radiology Tech - Nights City/State: State College, Pennsylvania Shift: Night Shift Sunday-Thursday (no weekends), 19:00:00-07:00:00 Contract Length: 12.00-3,91,03 Start Date: 03/09/2026 Job Description: Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures and respond to patient questions. Perform diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered by physicians. Responsibilities: Perform patient care/technical duties and procedures accurately and timely. Greet patients, review requests, evaluate orders for appropriate exams. Prepare and position patients for examinations. Operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently. Move portable radiographic equipment for procedures within various departments. Use proper sterile technique during examinations. Prepare and administer IV and Oral contrast media as needed. Document patient symptoms and procedure details in PACS. Maintain room assignments, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Apply radiation safety practices and promote patient and staff safety. Provide customer service and assist with clerical duties as needed. Comply with and perform quality assurance duties. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registered with the ARRT in Radiology. Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and radiologic equipment and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions and procedures.
