Radiology Tech Location: State College, PA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,126 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift weekdays; every 3rd weekend evening shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: Registered with the ARRT in Radiology Certifications: Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. Must-Have: Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Description: Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures. Respond to patient questions regarding their care. Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians. Review requests and evaluate orders for appropriate exams and diagnoses. Always check for two identifiers: name and date of birth. Explain procedures in terms that patients can understand. Prepare and position patients for examinations using proper techniques. Take correct views for examinations. Demonstrate the ability to operate CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely and efficiently. Know how to operate CR readers and printers. Perform proper start-up and shut-down of equipment. Know how to transfer images to PACS, scan documents, and route them appropriately. Understand how to change priority to STAT or URGENT when necessary. Assist Radiologists and/or technicians during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations. Move portable radiographic equipment for various procedures. Use proper sterile technique in the operating room and during examinations. Prepare IV and oral contrast media for use and administer contrast as needed. Document patient symptoms, history, imaging limitations, date and time of study, and technologist initials in PACS. Perform other related technical patient care duties as assigned. Maintain room assignments and keep the work area clean and orderly. Demonstrate appropriate radiation safety practices and promote the safety of patients and staff. Escort patients throughout the department and/or hospital. Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and others. Perform clerical duties efficiently, timely, and accurately. Monitor workflow processes utilizing PACS, image release, and CD burner. Assist in office functions as needed. Perform office tasks during off shifts. Comply with and perform quality assurance duties as assigned. Explain policies, procedures, and clerical functions to radiology students as directed.
