Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Weirton, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,416 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Float Pool - Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours per week Experience: Minimum 5 years License: Yes Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 5 years of nursing experience - 1 year of ICU or ED experience preferred - Comfortable floating to lower acuity units - Flexible, adaptable, with multifunctional expertise - Strong problem-solving skills Description: Nurses will be expected to work across multiple units of varying acuity levels. This position requires the ability to float to different departments as needed. Common patient diagnoses include NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, and heart disease. Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit, including: - Critical Care: 1:2-3 - Intermediate Care: 1:4-6 - Medical-Surgical Levels 7 and 8: 1:5-8 - Skilled Care: 1:8-10 - Emergency Department: ratios to be determined Nurses are required to titrate drips if working in critical care or emergency services. Familiarity with common titratable and set rate drips, such as Heparin, is essential. Charge nurses are present on each shift and may take patient assignments as needed. Patient care technicians are available to assist nurses with tasks such as ADLs, vital signs, and feeding. Respiratory therapy is assigned to multiple units; nurses are expected to administer breathing treatments and troubleshoot respiratory equipment. Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry strips and perform measurements. Self-scheduling is allowed with a minimum of three shifts required per week. Weekend shifts are required on an every-other-weekend basis. Holidays may be included in a rotation schedule. Assignments are communicated via text message two hours prior to shift start. Nurses will wear navy blue scrubs while on duty. A brief orientation will be provided along with time spent with a preceptor. Cancellation policy allows for two shifts per 13-week assignment.
