Job Description Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Cardiac/Telemetry PCU (Stepdown) Unit: 6N Cardiac/Tele PCU (Stepdown) Beds: 36 (private rooms) Trauma Level: II Shift - 12-hour Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM - Weekends as scheduled (every other weekend) - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week - Cancellation Policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract Submission Requirements - 50-mile radius rule - Copy of unexpired driver’s license required with submission - Active RN license required at submission - BSN not required Patient Population / Acuity - Higher-acuity Cardiac/Tele & Stepdown patients - Common diagnoses: - Post-op lung surgeries (downgraded from CCU) - Respiratory failure - Chest tubes - No sheaths, no arterial lines Nurse-to-Patient Ratios - MedSurg/Tele: 1:5 (rarely 1:6, discharge-driven only) - PCU/Stepdown: 1:4 Required Skills & Experience - Stepdown/PCU experience strongly preferred - MUST be able to titrate cardiac drips - Telemetry interpretation required Certifications - BLS (AHA) required Scheduling - 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights) - Every other weekend (Sat/Sun for nights) Dress Code - Royal Blue scrubs - No false nails Charting System - EPIC Why Choose Genie Healthcare?
