Job Description Job Description Walk?In Clinic Provider (Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant) Location: Pittsburgh, PA Schedule: Full?time / Part?time Department: Walk?In / Primary Care Reports to: Medical Director Position Summary East Liberty Family Health Care Center is seeking a licensed provider to deliver high?quality, patient?centered care in our Walk?In Clinic. This role focuses on episodic, same?day care for acute and urgent primary care needs in a fast?paced, team?based environment. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, adaptable, and mission?driven, with a strong commitment to serving a diverse community and improving access to care. Key Responsibilities Provide walk?in and same?day care for acute and episodic conditions, including minor illnesses and injuries Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan within the provider's scope of practice Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications as appropriate Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR Collaborate with nursing, front desk, care coordination, and primary care teams Support appropriate referrals and warm handoffs to primary care or specialty services Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Deliver care in alignment with the health center's mission and patient?centered values Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania Board?certified or board?eligible MD/DO, or certified NP or PA Prior experience in urgent care, walk?in care, primary care, or emergency medicine Strong clinical decision?making skills and comfort managing high patient volume Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team Proficiency with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred) Preferred Qualifications Experience in an FQHC or community health setting Bilingual skills strongly preferred Familiarity with underserved or complex patient populations Experience with same?day access or open?access scheduling models Why Join Us Mission?driven organization committed to expanding access to care Structured walk?in clinic model with defined clinical scope Supportive, team?based environment Competitive compensation Eligibility for NHSC Loan Repayment (if applicable) Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community
