HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Morgantown, WV 26505 Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension) Shift: Alternating 3x12-hour shifts (Days and Nights, Weekdays & Weekends). Rotating blocks of night shifts and day shifts based on facility needs. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-acuity nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). - Manage direct fresh open-heart admissions from the OR. - Perform advanced hemodynamic and pressure monitoring. - Manage and interpret Swan-Ganz catheter data. - Monitor and manage Impella devices. - Provide care for patients receiving CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy). - Perform ACT (Activated Clotting Time) monitoring. - Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio (based on acuity; may include step-down overflow patients). - Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Qualification: - Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience. - Strong cardiac surgery experience. - Must have direct fresh open-heart admission experience from OR. - Experience with Swan-Ganz management. - Experience with Impella monitoring. - Experience with CRRT. - ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience required. Current Certifications: - BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - NIH (NIH Stroke Scale) Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience with Cerner EMR. - Experience handling step-down level overflow patients. - Travel experience preferred but not required.
