Title: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift -
Location: Weirton, WV 26062 (Northern Panhandle, near Pittsburgh
and the Ohio River Valley) - Setting: Acute Care – Medical/Surgical
Unit, 48 beds - Assignment Type: Travel nurse assignment - Shift:
12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); weekends as needed - Guaranteed
Hours: 36 hours per week - Duration: 13 weeks - Start Date: March
4, 2026 - Open Positions: 3 travel RN positions - Charting System:
Cerner (electronic medical record) - Scrub Color: Navy blue -
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1950-$2060/week Minimum
Requirements - Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN)
license - BLS Certification from the American Heart Association -
At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN clinical experience - Ability
to provide a copy of an unexpired driver’s license upon submission
- Willingness to float to other Med/Surg, Med/Surg-Telemetry, or
IMC units as needed - Flexibility to work every other weekend and
participate in the holiday rotation - First-time travel nurses are
welcome to apply Key Responsibilities - Deliver direct patient care
to a diverse Med/Surg population (common diagnoses include
pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol
withdrawal, falls/weakness) - Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient
ratios of approximately 1:6-8 on night shift - Titrate drips such
as heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration required) -
Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and
respiratory therapists to ensure coordinated care - Monitor
patients on telemetry with support from monitor techs; RNs are not
required to interpret strips - Document patient care accurately
using Cerner electronic charting - Participate in floating and
shift pull rotations as needed - Complete orientation: one day with
educator/computer system and one day with a clinical preceptor This
