We're seeking a dedicated RN for evening shift coverage at a Pennsylvania correctional facility. This is a travel role that offers a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience, work with a professional team, and enjoy excellent benefits. /n Position Details: /n /n - Title: RN Corrections (Eve Shift)/n - Location: Somerset, PA (1590 Walters Mill Rd)/n - Start Date: March 24, 2026/n - Duration: Up to 13 weeks/n - Shift: 8 hours per shift, evenings/n - Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays (as scheduled)/n - Hours: 8.5 hours per shift, includes a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch/n - Pay Rate: $29.00/hour/n - Weekly Housing Stipend: $770/n - Travel: Yes – travel experience preferred/n /n What You’ll Do: /n /n - Provide professional nursing care and treatment to inmates and detainees in correctional facilities/n - Act as a charge nurse, staff nurse, or assessment coordinator/n - Lead nursing teams, assess staffing and equipment needs, and ensure proper documentation and care coordination/n - Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans/n - Perform essential nursing procedures, including airway management, medication administration, wound care, and vital sign assessment/n - Utilize advanced skills such as ventilator care, tube insertions, and neurological checks/n - Exercise independent judgment, following standards of nursing practice/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive inmate care/n /n Required Qualifications: /n /n - Active Pennsylvania nursing license or a non-renewable temporary practice permit/n - Proven ability to document health data accurately in electronic medical records/n - Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills/n - Willingness to commit to a temporary assignment of up to 6 months/n /n Key Competencies & Skills: /n /n - Extensive nursing procedures: CPR, airway management, medication administration, and vital signs/n - Specialized skills: ventilator care, wound management, NG tube insertion, and sterile techniques/n - Ability to perform comprehensive assessments, including mental status exams/n - Knowledge of infection control, medication records, and emergency response protocols/n - Capable of working independently and making sound clinical decisions/n /n Why Join Us? /n /n - Competitive pay with weekly housing stipend/n - Travel opportunities with potential for career growth/n - Valuable experience in correctional healthcare/n - Supportive team environment and onsite supervision/n - Flexible schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation/n /n Ready to bring your skills to a rewarding role?
