Registered Nurse (RN) | Stepdown Location: Morgantown, WV Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,182 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Stepdown RN in Morgantown, West Virginia, 26501! ID: 76446632 Shift: 12H Nights Nightshift 7pm-0730am, weekends as needed Description: Unit only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU systemDrivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facilityPrevious perm candidates must be gone for 2 yearsPrevious travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 yearsIndividual unit requirements listed in pulse apply.Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 emailWe are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up*ALL SUBMITTALS MUST INCLUDE A UNEXPIRED COPY OF THE CANDIDATES DRIVES LICENSE* COVID VACCINE REQUIRED: Fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 shot of J&J; If a traveler wants to decline based on a Medical or Religious reason, please have them fill out the appropriate Exemption Form and email it to the address on the form. These should be done ASAP as they have to go through a council to be approved or denied8 SOUTHEAST (STEPDOWN) of beds32-BedsRatios"1:3-4 Stepdown assignment are 1:3, Combo assignments are 1:4 (2 stepdown & 2 floor patients or 3 stepdown & 1 floor)"Required CertificationsBLS & ACLS are both required Common diagnoses/Types of patientsPost-surgical Thoracic & Medicine patientsExperience or 'Must have' skillsMust have strong MedSurg Stepdown experience, be able to titrate drips, & read stripsAre RNs required to titrate drips?Titration of drips with specific parameters - orders placed by the MDCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsCardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, & Lasix (no vasopressors)Charge Nurse/House Supervisor1 Charge Nurse & 3 House Supervisors in-houseAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios3-4 CNA's per shiftRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.)No Vents, but they get Bipap & trachesIs there tele on this unit? Monitor techs? RNs read strips?RN's need to interpret & chart the patient rhythm with their assessment Q4hr, or more often with titration of medications. Each unit has a centralized monitor for RN's to view at the nurses station, as well as monitors in the patient rooms. Centralized Telemetry interprets & places the EKG strips into the patient charts.
