RL Communities is seeking a dedicated Weekend Relief Cook to join our vibrant senior living community. This role is pivotal in enhancing the culinary experience of our residents by providing high-quality meals during weekends. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and commit to the health and happiness of our residents through exceptional food service. As a Weekend Relief Cook, you will work under the Food Services Manager to prep, cook, and present meals adhering to dietary needs and high standard hygiene practices. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and a passion for cooking and serving the elder community. Prepare and cook meals according to dietary needs and menu plans. Ensure all dishes are served on time and at the proper temperature. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. Assist with ordering and stocking kitchen supplies. Follow all health and safety standards. Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff. Proficiency in various cooking methods and techniques. Ability to follow recipes and adjust them based on dietary restrictions. Strong organizational and time management skills. Basic knowledge of safety and hygiene practices in the kitchen. Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain upon hire. ServSafe certification preferred but not mandatory.
