can help. We can show you how. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of
the Impact Lab provides strategic leadership for the Goodwill
Impact Lab, a center dedicated to evaluating, improving, and
innovating organizational processes and products through applied
research, development, and the incorporation of technology. The
Director is responsible for guiding innovation initiatives from
concept to implementation, fostering partnerships, managing talent,
and translating insights into actionable recommendations that
advance Goodwill’s mission, operational effectiveness, and
community impact. Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide overarching leadership and coordination for all activities
that fall under the Impact Lab, ensuring alignment with Goodwill’s
strategic priorities and mission outcomes. Design, host, and
facilitate ideation workshops and innovation sessions to generate
new concepts, pilots, and solutions. Provide daily oversight and
mentorship for Impact Lab interns, fellows, and project-based
staff, including departmental matching, research supervision, and
product rollout. Ensure research methodologies, data collection,
and evaluation practices meet professional and ethical standards
Consolidate and prepare clear, actionable reporting on Impact Lab
activities, outcomes, and return on investment for executive
leadership, funders, and stakeholders. Manage data collection,
documentation, and reporting to internal and external entities,
including data required for contracts and funders, serving as the
primary point of contact for external entities Ensure adherence to
departmental and divisional standards and best practices, and
partner with the Vice President of Human Services to establish and
implement policies and procedures as needed Manage and reconcile
departmental budgets, track expenses, and forecast future financial
needs to ensure fiscal stability and informed planning in
partnership with the Executive Team Status: Full-time Location:
Lawrenceville Workforce Development Center - 118 52nd Street,
Pittsburgh, PA 15201 External Hiring Range: $83,000 up to
$86,400/year Schedule: Monday through Friday (8:00am – 4:00pm) .
Schedule can vary depending on department needs. Travel Required:
Occasional travel may be required to Goodwill sites in Southwestern
Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia. QUALIFICATIONS: High
school diploma or equivalent AND 9 years of experience required. OR
Associates degree AND 7 years of experience required. OR Bachelor’s
degree AND 5 years experience required. Required Education: must be
in Human/Social Services,Information Technology, Education/Teaching
Required Experience: Demonstrated success in designing, launching,
or scaling initiatives from inception, including those that
integrate technology or digital solutions. Experience managing
grant-funded programs, ensuring compliance, and preparing funder
reports. Experience supervising staff, students, or fellows, with
the ability to mentor emerging professionals and integrate their
contributions into research and innovation projects Strong
expertise in leveraging organizational data for performance
measurement, ROI analysis, and decision-making (formal training
helpful but not required). Preferred Experience: Familiarity with
nonprofit sustainability, workforce development, and/or social
enterprise REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license and
reliable transportation for local travel. Candidates are expected
to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI
Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of
