Department is seeking a dedicated Clinical Application Analyst to
join our dynamic team supporting the schools of health sciences.
This position plays a critical role in the functional ownership,
configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of clinical
applications, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) and related
clinical tools integral to patient care and teaching workflows. To
ensure success in this role, candidates should demonstrate the
following essential and desirable qualifications. Required Skills •
Customer service oriented. • Strong analytical mindset and
problem-solving abilities. • Solid understanding of clinical
workflows with ability to translate operational needs into
technical solutions. • Ability to communicate complex technical
concepts to non-technical staff. • Attention to detail,
organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
effectively. • Proficiency in creating user manuals and technical
documentation for clinical applications. Preferred Skills •
Experience with EHR systems or clinical application support,
preferably in an academic or healthcare setting. • Ability to adapt
and learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment. Job Summary
Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs, implements, and maintains
moderately complex application software and/or systems. Prepares
detailed specifications and recommendations for software, programs,
and test procedures. Essential Functions • Provide technical
support and troubleshooting for EHR systems and associated tools,
facilitating seamless patient care and teaching processes. •
Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, including
requirements gathering, design, build/configuration, testing,
deployment, and optimization. • Collaborate closely with clinical,
administrative, and IT stakeholders to translate workflow needs
into effective system builds and enhancements. • Support and
coordinate application testing, end-user training, and the
development of thorough documentation to enable effective adoption
and utilization. • Create and maintain documentation of workflows,
business requirements, and system configurations. • Coordinate and
execute testing (unit, integration, UAT) for upgrades and new
modules. • Act as a key resource on clinical IT projects, working
collaboratively with IT teams, clinical leadership, and external
vendors. • Help resolve EHR tickets, serve as escalation point for
second-level support, and communicate updates to stakeholders. •
Ensure HIPAA compliance across EHR systems. • Manage role-based
access and permissions. • Support data audits and contribute to
quality assurance and compliance reviews. Physical Effort Must be
able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Light, Little
physical effort. Duties are primarily Sedentary. May be required to
move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally. The University of

Required Licensure/Certification Bachelor’s degree in Information
Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or related field

experience (EHR support or healthcare environment). Strong
understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare terminology;
dental clinical systems experience preferred. Excellent analytical,
communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with
reporting tools (e.g., SQL, BI tools) a plus. Work Schedule Mon-Fri
7:30-4. 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Work Arrangement Hybrid:
Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the
