12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM 6:00 PM 2-2-3 rotation schedule (work two
days, off two days, work three days, then rotate) Likly to convert
to FT Steel-toe shoes required Eye and ear protection provided by
client and must be worn at all times Entry-level candidates
encouraged to apply; training will be provided Onsite Interviews
Position Summary: We are seeking motivated individuals for an
entry-level role working with gas meters. This position requires
reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to perform
physical tasks over extended periods. Core Responsibilities And
Tasks: Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace
safety and product quality. Successfully completes all
site-specific training regarding safety and quality. Receives
components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed
sequence. Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical
components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc
thermal welding and thread taping. Uses simple hand or power tools
along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures. Enter work hours in ERP
system (Currently Shop Vue) Completes required documentation
related to production. Drives continuous improvement process and
conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous
improvement activities. Reads and understands simple layout and
assembly drawings. Maintains equipment and area in clean safe
condition. Take care of internal and external customer needs and
expectations. Position requirements-formal education required: High
School Diploma or GED. Knowledge & experience required: Mechanical
aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school
coursework, hobbies, etc. Physical requirements: Ability to stand
and work on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift Capable of
performing hands-on tasks and manual labor safely and efficiently
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Must be able to
climb and descend stairs. Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push,
and pull on an occasional basis. Must be able to communicate
verbally and in writing. May work in areas where noise level is
such that hearing protection is required. May be exposed to varying
amounts of dust and dirt. Work surfaces may include concrete.
Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via
telephone. 1-3 years experience
