Logistics Manager oversees the complete order-to-manufacturing
workflow, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately,
scheduled appropriately, and aligned with production capacity and
inventory availability. This role acts as the operational bridge
between Sales, Production, Planning, Procurement, and Shipping to
ensure that customer commitments are met while maintaining
manufacturing efficiency. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership &
Daily Operations Lead and supervise the order management team
responsible for order entry, shipping, invoicing, and service
support. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to
staff. Oversee daily workload distribution to ensure timely
processing of all incoming orders. Order Processing & Production
Coordination Validate incoming orders for completeness, pricing
accuracy, raw material requirements, and manufacturability. Work
closely with Production Planning to schedule orders based on
capacity, lead times, and material availability. Monitor order
status throughout the production cycle and address bottlenecks
immediately. Manage order changes, rush requests, and engineering
revisions. Perform Letter of Credit processing associated with all
orders to ensure that payments will be made and determine when
delivery vs. receipt of payment should be made on customer orders.
Evaluate spare parts pricing against established criteria to
determine that company goals and profits are maintained.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Sales and Customer
Service to communicate lead times, delays, or alternatives. Work
with Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to ensure each order
meets specifications and ships on time. Support Engineering when
custom or technical orders require review. Manufacturing Process
Optimization Review order processing workflows for efficiency,
accuracy, and alignment with production strategies. Support
continuous improvement initiatives such as workflow automation.
Recommend improvements to reduce order lead times and improve
schedule adherence. Responsible for IFS system automations and
improvements. Reporting & KPI Management Track and report
manufacturing-related metrics including On-Time Delivery (OTD),
Order Entry Cycle Time, Schedule Adherence, and Backlog Levels
Prepare data-driven insights and weekly reports for senior
leadership. Customer Experience & Escalations Serve as an
escalation point for key customers, large-volume accounts, or
custom manufacturing requests. Provide Customers with information
and status on their orders and expedite planning, production,
purchasing, etc. as required to satisfy customer needs. Ensure that
communication around delays, quality issues, or changes is timely
and accurate. Interact with freight forwarders to obtain optimal
pricing and services. Maintain relationship with document prep
services for accurate and timely submissions. Support resolution of
customer complaints involving order execution or production
outcomes. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s or Associate
Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial
Management, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in order
management or manufacturing operations. International order
processing a plus Prior supervisory experience required.
Understanding of MRP/ERP systems (IFS, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics,
NetSuite, etc.). Letter of Credit training. Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production
scheduling, and material flow. Excellent coordination and
prioritization skills in a fast-paced production environment. Must
have excellent communication skills both in oral and written format
to communicate with customers and vendors to clarify problems and
expedite orders. Must be able to handle customer complaints in a
timely and efficient manner by coordinating with various internal
departments to provide acceptable solutions for their requests and
needs. This includes evaluating and weighing their needs against
other customers’ needs and making the correct prioritizing
decisions for them and AGR. Strong leadership, communication, and
decision-making abilities. Must be able to effectively negotiate
with and provide carriers that are acceptable to customers and
provide on-time service at the lowest cost. Must have excellent
computer and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP
systems. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Work Environment: Office-based within a manufacturing facility.
Regular interaction with production floor, warehouse, and
engineering teams. Occasional need to walk the production floor to
