DescriptionSUMMARY OF POSITIONResponsible for performing and learning all aspects of the Production/Entre inspecting and packaging operations and removing all defects and foreign materials from products to achieve minimal waste.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSReports to:Lead and/or SupervisorSupervises:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS----Ability to read, write and understand the English languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1 year of experience working in an industrial food industryDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES--------Constructs boxes and/or cartons and places appropriate liner inside, if required.--------Places product into boxes and/or cartons.--------Weighs product prior to closing and stacking.--------Inspects cartons/boxes to ensure they are properly sealed and have the correct day code affixed.--------Places boxes/cartons on pallets.--------Moves boxes and pallets to designated areas when required.--------Inspects and removes all defects and foreign materials from product and reports specific findings to the Supervisor and/or Lead on duty.--------Keeps work areas clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.--------Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.--------Adheres to common safety practices and procedures, including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required.--------Adheres to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.--------Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead.--ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS--------The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.The ability to work cooperatively with others.The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.The ability to perform several tasks at once.The ability to follow direction or instruction.The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.The ability to lift and move ___ pounds.The ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch, etc.The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with the hands and arms.--Constantly - occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hours/day)Frequently - occupation requires this activity from 33% to 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5 hours/day)Occasionally - occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5 hrs/day)Not Applicable - activity is not applicable to this occupation.Physical DemandsStandxConstantly Frequently Occasionally Not Applicable WalkxConstantly Frequently Occasionally Not Applicable Sit Constantly FrequentlyxOccasionally Not Applicable Handling/FingeringxConstantly Frequently Occasionally Not Applicable Reach Outward ConstantlyxFrequently Occasionally Not Applicable Reach Above Shoulder Constantly FrequentlyxOccasionally Not Applicable Climb Constantly FrequentlyxOccasionally Not Applicable----
