Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Technician I at Middletown, PA 17057.

As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will:
Termination of various standard fiber optic termini as well new termini designs.
Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds.
Mechanical Aptitude to safely & efficiently operate equipment (E-Stop/Soft Stop, identifying issues, clearing faults and acknowledging machines states.
Assist in the estimation process step durations.
Assist in setting-up new manufacturing processes.
Suggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies.
Communication within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & Customer satisfaction.
Soldering & PCBA Assembly skills for the following: Wire Harnesses, Connectors, Passive
Components (Resistors, Capacitors, etc.), IC (Integrated Circuits).
Use of Fiber Optic & Electronic Test Equipment: Optical Power Meters, IL/RL Test, Oscilloscope, DMM (Digital Multi Meter), Variable Power Supplies, Variable Attenuators, Optical & RF Switch.

This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

The Ideal Candidate will have:
Completed High School or equivalent.
Preference 2 years of experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment but not mandatory.
Must have good time management skills to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
Attention to Detail (following BOM's, Routers, and, understanding drawings/prints).
Proficient Dexterity & Motor Skills for intricate/delicate work.

Payrate Range in Between - $19 - $21/hour
