The Opportunity: The client is a full-service, third-party logistics company that is looking for a Business Development Manager to oversee the Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Verginia/Verginia, and Buffalo regions. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new domestic and international customer growth while supporting and expanding existing accounts. This role focuses on identifying client needs, designing customized transportation and logistics solutions, and delivering exceptional service throughout the customer lifecycle. Position Availability: · This posting is for a vacancy within the organization What’s In It For You? · Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $95,000 · 8% Uncapped Commission Structure · Comprehensive Benefits Plan · Monthly Car Allowance · Fully Remote Work Environment What You’ll Be Responsible For: · Planning and executing weekly outbound sales outreach activities. · Building, managing, and maintaining a qualified prospect pipeline within an assigned territory. · Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and outbound prospecting. · Maintaining, nurturing, and growing existing customer relationships. · Supporting profitability initiatives through pricing awareness and strategic account planning. · Assisting with the creation, preparation, and response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs). · Developing and documenting customerspecific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). · Tracking, managing, and following up on all inbound and outbound sales leads. · Participating in margin reviews, pricing discussions, and profitability analysis. · Preparing and delivering customized sales presentations to prospective and existing clients. · Collaborating crossfunctionally with internal teams during meetings and strategic planning sessions. · Leveraging industry knowledge to strengthen customer relationships and expand account penetration. · Partnering with leadership to support market development and territory growth strategies. · Negotiating and coordinating tailored logistics and transportation solutions for clients. · Responding to customer inquiries regarding pricing, service options, capabilities, and general support. The Ideal Candidate: · Post-secondary degree or Diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, or other related fields. · 3 – 5 years of sales experience, with preference for those who have worked within the freight forwarding industry. · Prior experience in transportation, thirdparty logistics (3PL), supply chain, or related services strongly preferred · Proficiency with business operating systems and standard software tools. · Strong verbal and written communication abilities. · Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. · Strong organizational, timemanagement, and leadership skills. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
