Job Description Job Description Position: Mental Health
Specialist Rate: $55/hour Requirements: Master's Degree in Social
Work, Counseling, or related field (required) PA License as a
professional counselor, social worker, clinical social worker, or
PDE certification in School Social Work (required) Knowledge of
mental health disorders, behaviors, treatment modalities, crisis
intervention, and community service agencies (required) Experience
working with children in a public school setting (preferred)
Excellent communication skills Current FBI fingerprints, PA
Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to: Planning and implementing
strategies to assist students in crisis Conducting individual and
group counseling sessions for special needs students Developing
positive relationships with students, families, schools, and
agencies Coordinating with the school, service providers, families,
and school district personnel to meet the needs of each individual
learner, providing the best care, safety, welfare, and security for
the students
