lives that are helped.Job OverviewAtlas Therapy is seeking a
full-time office manager at our Altoona location to join our team
in providing quality care to expedite our patients journeys to
better living. Responsibilities include tasks to assure that the
patients experiences go above and beyond their expectations. Our
ideal candidate has previous administrative experience, strong
communication and customer service skills, and excellent
organization. This is not a staff supervisory role. Job
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients as they arrive at the clinic and on the
phone.
- Completes appointment tasks such as checking-in patients,
scheduling future appointments, and collecting payments as
appropriate.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records both
electronically and in the paper chart.
- Confirms referrals are timely and initiates contact to schedule
the evaluation.
- Accurately gathers all demographic information and accurately
enters this information in EMR to create patients cases.
- Optimizes patients satisfaction, providers time, and treatment
space by skillfully scheduling appointments to match the Atlas
Therapy treatment model.
- Follows physical therapy guidelines and insurance regulations
to track re-evaluations, visit limits, direct access, and any other
pertinent aspects of patient care.
- Verifies insurance benefits and requests and tracks insurance
authorizations, if required.
- Provides a comforting atmosphere through conversation with the
patients, answering questions, including but not limited to
insurance benefits, scheduling frequency, and patient
balances.
- Sustains the office inventory and equipment by anticipating
needed supplies, placing orders, verifying receipt of supplies, and
scheduling equipment service and repairs.
- Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of
medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures,
reporting needed changes.
- Works closely with clinical and administrative, and management
staff to guarantee the best patient experiences.Requirements
- Previous administration experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Medical terminology knowledge highly regarded
- Ability to multi-task with great organizational, attention to
